PGA legend Greg Norman designed the River Course at Rio Mar along the Mameyes. Married with the lay of the land, the island itself dictates the holes.The result is a course for all skill levels, full of native foliage, generous fairways and shallow bunkers. The River Course at the Wyndham Rio Mar Beach Resort was Greg Norman's first Caribbean designed course, and he made it a priority to preserve the lush natural foliage and rugged terrain of the course in tact.
The River Course got its name from the Mameyes River that flows alongside the course. The course features open greens and wide fairways, making it approachable for players of all skill levels. Shallow bunkers and some light rough provide the perfect amount of challenge. In addition to the enjoyable game, the golf course also provides scenic ocean and mountain views. Bordered by El Yunque Rainforest's scenic mountains, the Mameyes River and the beautiful Atlantic, The Rio Mar River Course is the perfect place for a Caribbean golf vacation getaway.
