Corales Golf Club offers a very different ocean golf experience.
Designed by Tom Fazio, this 18-hole, par-72 championship layout stretches to approximately 7,670 yards and features six holes along the Caribbean Sea.
The course incorporates the natural landscape of the area, including cliffs, ocean coves, bays, inland lakes and coral quarries.
The most famous part of Corales comes at the end of the round. The final three holes are known as the Devil's Elbow, culminating with the dramatic 18th hole wrapping around the Bay of Corales.
Corales is also known internationally as the home of the PGA TOUR's Corales Puntacana Championship.
For golfers who want Caribbean scenery combined with a serious championship test, Corales deserves a place on the itinerary.

La Cana Golf Club provides another excellent opportunity to experience golf beside the Caribbean.
Designed by P.B. Dye, La Cana offers 27 holes across the Tortuga, Hacienda and Arrecife nines.
Fourteen holes offer ocean views, creating plenty of opportunities to experience the scenery that has made Punta Cana such a distinctive golf destination.
La Cana provides a different experience from Corales and Punta Espada. Golfers staying for several days can play multiple courses and see how differently each designer has incorporated the Caribbean coastline into the golf course.

Punta Espada delivers dramatic Jack Nicklaus-designed golf with extensive Caribbean views. Corales combines oceanfront holes with a demanding championship layout and its famous closing stretch. La Cana offers 27 holes and numerous ocean views in a resort setting.
Playing two or three of these courses creates a much better picture of what golf in Punta Cana has to offer.
Punta Cana works particularly well as a golf destination because golf does not have to dominate the entire vacation.
Golfers can play in the morning and spend the afternoon enjoying the beach, pool, restaurants or other activities. That makes Punta Cana a strong choice for couples, families and groups where some travelers play golf and others do not.
